Workshops

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING OUR WORKSHOPS:-

Workshops are run at my home based studio in Royal Wootton Bassett. Spaces are only reserved once full payment has been received. Please email [email protected], text or call Rachel 07828 552610 to reserve your space and arrange payment. payments are not refundable, although with at least 48 hours notice payment can be utilised toward another workshop.Facilities - Sadly we do not currently have any wheelchair access to the premises and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.We offer free tea and coffee during your workshop.We have toilet facilities here!

Make a Single or multi strand floating necklace with the choice from a selection of freshwater pearls, crystals and gemstones. 

Cost £25 which includes materials Date: Wed 16th Jan 2019 10-12pm 

Projects: Learn to make a floating necklace using freshwater pearls, gemstones and crystals. I will teach you how to use crimp beads to secure the beads in place, how to design and measure your necklace, open and close jump rings and to attach a clasp. 

Skill level: For complete beginners or experienced beaders. 

Tools are provided for your use during the session. 

Wirework gemstone swirl Pendant 

Cost £35 which includes materials

Date: Thurs 17th Jan 2019 10.30-1pm

Projects: Create a Gemstone Wirework pendant by learning wire weaving techniques around a gemstone bead, how to swirl dual wires and create a secure and neat bail. A selection of gemstones available to choose from. 

Tools are provided for your use during the session. 

Skill level: Prevous experience of working with wire recommended.

 

Make a beaded necklace using glass beads. 

Cost £20 which includes materials.

Date: Friday 18th January 1-2.30pm.

Projects:Create a beaded necklace using tigertail thread and crimp beads. 

Tools provided for use during the workshop.

Skill level: This course is for beginners or existing beaders looking for a refresher.

The workshop is spread over 2 sessions (the cost includes both) to allow time for the resin to set and dry.  In the 2nd session you will turn your cabochons into a number of jewellery pieces such as necklaces and earrings. 

Dates: Thurs 24th Jan 12-1:30pm & Thurs 31st Jan 12-1pm 

 Projects: I will take you through all the steps to make your own resin jewellery, from mixing the appropriate resin and hardener and how to create your own unique pieces by adding colour pigments and embellishments. 

As the resin takes around 24nhours to set, the second session will be adding earring backs or bails and chains according to your choice. 

In addition, you will also go home with a number of cabochons that you have made, that can be used with wirework and bead embroidery after the workshop.

Skill level: For complete beginners or existing beaders looking to explore a new jewellery medium. 

Make a celtic style wirework pendant.

Cost £25 which includes materials

Date: Tues 29th Jan 10-12.30pm

Projects: Create this beautiful wire pendant by shaping wires around a cabochon and make intricate wire weaving to secure the focal piece in place. 

Tools provided for your use during the workshop 

Skill level: Prevous experience of working with wire recommended.

Make a Sterling silver wire wrapped ring. 

Cost £25 which includes materials

Date: Wed 30th 2019 from 10am-12pm

Projects: First you will create a couple or rings with copper or silver plated copped wire, using wire weaving and loop forming techniques.  Your final piece will be in Sterling Silver with crystals or gemstones.  There is no silversmithing or soldering during this workshop - the techniques used are all done by hand using wire weaving techniques. 

Tools provided for your use during the workshop 

Skill level: Suitable for beginners or experienced beads. 

Cost £35 which includes materials with a choice of seed beads, gemstones and beads. 

Date: Thurs 7th Feb 10-1pm

 Projects: Create a gemstone pendant with bead embroidery combined with bead weaving techniques, using a specialist needle and thread.  I will take you through each stage of the process to create a beautiful gemstone embroidery pendant. 

Tools provided for use during the session. 

Skill level: For complete beginners or any beaders requiring a refresher!

Make a glass beaded chain necklace. Workshop held in Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon.

Cost £20 which includes materials Date:Tues 19th Feb 2019 

 10-12pm  

Projects: Learn to make a chain Necklace using components called eyepins. I will teach you how to cut and loop them and connect them using jump rings.

Skill level: For complete beginners or any beaders requiring a refresher!
