Workshops

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING OUR WORKSHOPS:-

Workshops are run at my home based studio in Royal Wootton Bassett. Spaces are only reserved once full payment has been received. Please email [email protected], text or call Rachel 07828 552610 to reserve your space and arrange payment. payments are not refundable, although with at least 48 hours notice payment can be utilised toward another workshop.Facilities - Sadly we do not currently have any wheelchair access to the premises and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.We offer free tea and coffee during your workshop.We have toilet facilities here!

Make wire work heart earrings

Cost £20 which includes materials

Date: Thurs 23rd Jan 10-12pm 

Projects: Learn the techniques to make these wire wrapped heart earrings using shaping and hammering techniques.  A choice of wire colours available (silver plate, rose gold, gold & copper) and gemstones

Tools provided for your use during the workshop 

Skill level: Workshop suitable for beginners

Light refreshments provided. 

Make two gemstone, freshwater pearl and leather necklaces.  

Cost £25 which includes materials

Date: Tuesday 28th Feb 10-12pm. 

Projects: Create two leather thong necklaces combined with gemstones and freshwater pearls (selection of colours and gems available). Learn how to string the middle beaded section and how to secure the leather section with a lobster clasp fastening. 

Skill level: This is a good course for regular beaders and also suitable for beginners. 

Light refreshments and biscuits provided. 

 

Make a few items, creating wire wrapped hearts, looped pins and attaching them to create these pretty keyrings/bagcharms & bookmarks 

Cost £15 which includes materials

Date: Wednesday 29th January 10-11.30am 

Projects: Make 2 items in any combination to suit.  Learn to make wire wrapped hearts, using looping and hammering techniques.  Also using eyepins and jump rings to link all of the components. 

Tools provided for use during the workshop 

Skill level: This is a good course for regular beaders and also suitable for beginners. 

Cost £50 which includes a kit with all materials required

Date: workshop spread over 2 sessions:-

Wed 5th February & Wed 12th February 2020 10am-12.30pm. 

Projects: Suitable for total beginners. Create a Dragonfly brooch using bead weaving techniques and bead embroidery techniques, using a specialist needle and thread.  I will take you through each stage of the process  which begins by handstitching around a printed picture on a beading foundation. 

Skill level: Suitable for total beginners and experienced beaders. 

Make a wire wrapped Ring using either rose gold plated, silver plated, gilt plated or copper.

Cost £15 which includes materials

Date: Thursday 6th Feb 10-11.30am 

Projects: Create this beautiful wire ring by learning wrapping techniques and shaping. 

Tools provided for your use during the workshop 

Skill level: Suitable for beginners

Refreshments and biscuits included. 

Cost £40 which includes materials. 

The workshop is spread over 2 sessions (the cost includes both) to allow time for the resin to set and dry.  In the 2nd session you will attach cord, leather or chain to some of your pendants. 

Dates: Thurs 13th Feb 2020 10-11.30am & 2nd part to collect/make necklace arranged to suit. 

Projects: I will take you through all the steps to make your own resin pendants, from mixing the appropriate resin and hardener and how to create your own unique pieces by adding colour pigments and embellishments, pressed flowers or gold leaf. 

As the resin takes around 24 hours to set, the second session will be adding the pendants to cord/faux suede/leather. 

Tools provided for use during the session. 

Skill level: For complete beginners or existing beaders looking to explore a new jewellery medium. 

Light refreshments included. 

Cost £45 which includes a kit with all materials required

Date: Tuesday 18th February 10-2.30pm

Projects: Suitable for total beginners. Create a bee brooch using bead weaving techniques and bead embroidery techniques, using a specialist needle and thread.  I will take you through each stage of the process  which begins by handstitching around a printed picture on a beading foundation. 

Skill level: Suitable for total beginners and experienced beaders. 

Cost £50 which includes your kit and workshop sessions spread over 3 weeks. 

Dates

Thurs 27th Feb 10-11.30am, Thurs 5th March 10-11.30am & Thurs 12th March 10-11.30am 

Projects: Suitable for total beginners, although it is recommended that you have worked with needle and thread before. 

Over the 3 weeks you will learn how to do a ladder stitch and brich stitch to make each petal. 

Create 6 separate petals over the course and learn you to weave all the petals together, adding a pin at the back.
