Workshops

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING OUR WORKSHOPS:-

Workshops are run at my home based studio in Royal Wootton Bassett. Spaces are only reserved once full payment has been received. Please email [email protected], text or call Rachel 07828 552610 to reserve your space and arrange payment. payments are not refundable, although with at least 48 hours notice payment can be utilised toward another workshop.Facilities - Sadly we do not currently have any wheelchair access to the premises and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.We offer free tea and coffee during your workshop.We have toilet facilities here!

Create a Gemstone or glass beaded bracelet with macrame fastening.  

Cost £25 which includes materials 

(variety of colours available)

Date: Tues 19th March 10am-12pm

Projects:  Learn how to make a square knot macrame fastening, to make a neat expandable fastening. 

Tools provided for use during the workshop 

Skill level: This course is for beginners. 

Cost £40 which includes materials. 

The workshop is spread over 2 sessions (the cost includes both) to allow time for the resin to set and dry.  In the 2nd session you will attach cord, leather or chain to some of your pendants. 

Dates: Wed 20th March 11-12:30pm & Fri 22nd March 1.30-2.30pm (2nd part can be rearranged if required.)

 Projects: I will take you through all the steps to make your own resin pendants, from mixing the appropriate resin and hardener and how to create your own unique pieces by adding colour pigments and embellishments, pressed flowers or gold leaf. 

As the resin takes around 24 hours to set, the second session will be adding earring backs or bails and chains according to your choice. 

Tools provided for use during the session. 

Skill level: For complete beginners or existing beaders looking to explore a new jewellery medium. 

Make a Beadwork mandala dreamcatcher style pendant.  

Cost £40 which includes materials

Date: Thurs 21th March 9.30am - 12pm

Projects: Create this beautiful beadwork mandala pendant, using a technique called bead weaving.  This is a type of jewellery making using needle and specialist beaders thread.  The beads used are a combination of small seed beads and crystals. 

All relevant tools and equipment provided for use during the workshop.  There will also be a selection of colour choices.  

Skill level: This course is suitable for beginners.

Cost £20 which includes materials

Date: Tuesday 26th March 10.30-12.30pm 

 Projects: Create a bracelet using the kumihimo board and learn the techniques to produce a professional finish. 

Choice of coloured cord or leather. 

Tools provided for use during the session. 

Skill level: For complete beginners or any beaders requiring a refresher!

Date: Fri 29th March 1-2.30pm 

Projects:  Create a stretch glass beaded bracelet and Dangle earrings with Sterling Silver components.

Make wire wrapped herringbone pendants and earrings

Cost £25 which includes materials

Date: Thurs 4th April 10-12pm 

Projects: Learn the technique of making wire wrapped herringbone weave to produce a number of pieces in a variety of colour choices.  

Tools provided for your use during the workshop 

Skill level: Prevous experience of working with wire recommended but not essential.

Make a wire wrapped flower pendant. 

Cost £25 which includes materials

Date: Fri 12th April 1-3pm. 

Projects: Create this beautiful wire pendant by learning weaving techniques, shaping. and hammering. 

Tools provided for your use during the workshop 

Skill level: Suitable for beginners. 

Cost £35 which includes materials with a choice of seed beads, gemstones and beads. 

Date: Friday 19th April 1-3pm

 Projects: Create bead embroidery pendantcombined with bead weaving techniques, using a specialist needle and thread.  I will take you through each stage of the process to create a beautiful  embroidery pendant. Range of colours available. 

Tools provided for use during the session.

Make a Wire coiled bracelet using the coiling gizmo.

Cost £15 which includes materials

Date: Wed 1st May from 10-11.30am 

Projects: Create a wirework bracelet using the coiling gizmo, which is a tool that is clamped to the table and allows you to make neat coils, using various sized mandrels. Its a clever device and you will produce a bracelet during the session.

Skill level: This is a good course for regular beaders and also suitable for beginners.

Projects:  Create your own custom made pendants from a choice of colours, using resin.
